TEDxWellington needed a clear visual system that aligned with TED’s global brand while capturing the character of the Wellington creative community. My job was to create a flexible, easy to use guideline that volunteers and event teams could apply across digital, print and event materials. I reviewed the global TED brand and developed a localised design system with clear rules for typography, layout, colour and imagery. I built a full guideline document plus a library of templates in Figma so the team could create consistent assets quickly. This covered social content, event collateral, signage, speaker announcements and digital campaigns. The new system lifted the overall quality of the event’s visual identity and made production faster and more consistent across channels. The team was able to generate polished creative with minimal oversight, resulting in a cohesive and recognisable TEDxWellington experience.
